Libra Season 2023
Happy Libra season! We’re almost half way through. The Sun will remain here from September 23rd to October 23rd, 2023. The Libra zodiac sign is represented by the scales, is ruled by Venus, the planet of love and beauty. This makes for an aesthetically pleasing character who is harmonious with true fondness for partnership and collaboration.
This one feels a bit different than others personally. I am a Libra Sun and this year I celebrated my golden birthday! I turned 24 on September 24th so it was very special indeed. For the past few months, a big theme for me has been taking a pause to relax and just enjoy the pleasures of life while I’m in my 20s. After some fulfilling, and life changing trips, I have returned with a new eye for what I always loved and passion for new things I’ve discovered I love. I will discuss all my new passions and how I used Astrocartography to celebrate my golden birthday in an upcoming blog post. For now, let’s focus on transits which highlight what Libra season is bringing all of us.
Sun in Libra
Libra season marks the beginning of the fall season. As such, Libra is a cardinal sign often leading and initiating change. This season in particular always calls us to reevaluate our relationships, find harmony, and embrace the beauty of balance in our lives. I do want to point out that for most, this season may feel like a bunch of changes happening to you rather than by you that are out of your control. The lesson there is so still find that beauty in balance and find ways to dance to the music. Be mindful, but don’t overthink. There’s no need to stress during a Venus ruled season like ever. There isn’t one answer or solution to every problem and not every one is meant to be clear cut or perfect.
Find more ways to add balance into your life whether it is through your screen time, work/life balance, or relationships. I will also add, make sure you’re finding ways to prioritize you. Make more time for some self care and really put effort in treating yourself especially if you normally don’t. You may find during this transit you have a heightened ability to navigate conflicts gracefully, seeking compromise, and understanding in your interactions with others. Give yourself grace and some credit!
Seek inspiration through fashion, art, design. Change up your environment and see what else is out there. Explore your creativity and artistic side. This is a great time to make changes to your own personal style or living space arrangement. Play around with different fabrics, colors, patterns, and textures. Book that hair, nail, tattoo, piercing etc. appointment! Remember to take care of yourself on the inside just as much as you do on the outside. You are an investment whole.
Libra is the zodiac sign representing partnership, collaboration, close relationships, and even marriage so don’t be surprised if your relationships (past and present) come into focus for you to unpack during this time. Libra is a sociable sign and thrives when connecting with others. Channel your inner social butterfly and accept invitations to attend social events, enjoy the company of those you love, and network. There is large potential to expand one’s social circle if desired. This is a good time to spend quality time with those you love and strengthen those bonds. Be open and free when engaging in communication with others and appreciate those who are there for you and show you they love you.
Mercury in Libra
Mercury transits tend to last for a few weeks in each sign and can shape our thoughts, conversation, and decision making. Mercury in Libra makes us think more carefully and consider all options when making decisions. Fairness also comes in more as a factor towards the final outcome. Mercury in Libra possess eloquent and diplomatic speech. Words become more measured, and you should find it easier to express your thoughts with tact and grace, making it an ideal time for negotiations and important conversations.
Look forward to balanced decision making. You’re more likely to seek solutions that benefit all parties involved. Beware that this can also lead to challenges in decision making and indecision as you strive for that ideal solution. Sometimes taking action is more important than finding the absolute best choice. You may also become more attuned to issues of justice and fairness during this transit. Advocating for equality and injustice can be a driving force behind your actions. Like mentioned earlier, this time enhances appreciation for art, design, and aesthetics. This is the perfect time to visit art galleries, museums, engage in creative projects, or follow fall fashion weeks.
Venus in Virgo
Venus transited into Virgo from Leo on Sunday, October 8th, 2023 at 9:06pm est. This transit signifies a period when love and relationships are infused with practicality and a focus on detail. Unlike Venus in Leo, it’s not about those grand gestures, but the thought behind them and to what extent lovers will go to prove their love. Love isn’t just romance, but supporting your partner in ways that make their life easier. During this time, people may find themselves more critical in matters of the heart, seeking perfection and order in their romantic connections. It’s an excellent time for improving existing relationships through clear communication and acts of service, but it may also lead to overthinking or nitpicking in matters of love.
The themes for Venus in Virgo 2023 are practicality, cleanliness, goal implementation, corrective behavior in relationships, emphasis on hobbies and skills, cleaner diet, more movement and fresh air, illness. Approaching tasks and hardship in life the practical and honest way. Maybe do whats not the easiest, but what makes the most sense. Cleanliness is the idea of clearing your space bringing you to wholeness and then allowing what you desire and truly deserve to come in. Corrective behavior in relationships looks like telling someone you love, “I don’t like when you did xyz because that hurt me.” and instead of honest expression escalating into conflict, it inspires self reflection within the receiving party. Illness is not only the common cold and flu due to season and weather change, but to the rising number of COVID cases being reported lately. It’s not back if it never left.
Wishing you a very fabulous month! xoxo
