It’s no secret I LOVE COLORS. Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always gravitated towards the brightest things because they truly remind me of myself and the energy I possess. If you know me personally, I’m known for always wearing brightly colored clothing and accessories. To this day, I take pride in choosing clothes that uplift me and make me feel my best self. I then pair that with getting all clean and wearing an essential oil or perfume to compliment my energy, outfit, and the vibe I’m going for that day. Perfume shopping has always been an activity I enjoy. Another way I add color into my life is by coloring as a pastime activity. Shoutout to the makers of adult coloring books! It’s seriously the most relaxing thing ever and if you struggle with concentration, autism, ADHD, or any type of anxiety disorder I definitely recommend spending some time coloring, drawing, painting, or making some type of art. The best part of art is that it’s meant to be abstract and unique. There’s no right or wrong piece of art. It’s all up for interpretation. I’ve been intentionally using colors and scents in my daily life and to aid in my manifestations for about the last 2 years. Just like using Planetary Days/Hours  has improved my time management as well as my ability to be intentional, I’ve found it very helpful to use colors and scent in aiding in my prayers and manifestations. It brings excitement and radiant energy towards me that I then pour into my focus. It helps me attract what I seek towards me much faster and I hope this post can inspire you to implement any of these methods slowly in your routine and receive positive changes from it! Theres so many ways I’ve learned how to do this. If interested in booking a personal reading with Sugar for personal color & scent recommendations, click here.

Disclaimer: Keep in mind everything may not work for everyone and doing any of these things does not guarantee automatic results towards what you want. Continue to pray, do the right thing in order to truly get what you want and have good energy come your way. Although these methods have helped, I still have to be productive and put work in to reach my goals and achieve everything I have. Never forget to do the work! Sharing this simple way to improve your own intention will be a major key in your life that can unlock so much. Refer to the graphics below & save them for your reference.

Using Scent Notes

Who doesn’t love to smell good? Smelling good is the key to having a great start to your day. When you look good you feel good right? Same with scent. The right fragrance will add to your personal ambiance for the day. Remember your scent is only as good as your hygiene so make sure you’re using the right soaps and bath products to keep your skin fresh and exfoliated. And did you know each essential oil has so many health benefits in them? I prefer to study notes and choose my perfumes based on how each scent smells on me because body chemistry is the most important thing when dealing with scent. The same perfume/cologne will not smell the same on every single person and this is why you may try popular fragrances and find you don’t like it or it smells different. It’s because fragrances react differently with our body’s own natural pheromones and scent. I like to choose my perfume for the day based on the weather outside, what I’m wearing, and how it makes me feel. I’ve always been a fan of smelling sweet so naturally I gravitate towards oriental, floral perfumes which tend to be on the sweet and warm side. My favorite notes are vanilla, jasmine, bergamot, Ylang Ylang, coconut, warm amber, rose, peach, pear, white musk, orange blossom, toasted tonka bean, cardamom, & patchouli . You can typically find these notes in designer fragrances as they are commonly used in combination to make the most popular scents.

For example, orange is commonly used in skincare products that are marketed to be invigorating or energizing. That comes from the base color orange’s energy and the connotation oranges have. When you think of oranges you typically think of breakfast, brunch, and mimosas right? And most ads with oranges in them usually include someone waking up, eating breakfast, or starting their day signifying the morning time. Marketing is all based on research of human sense and perception. Take your time to get familiar with the benefits of each one so you can figure out which ones are helpful to you.

Disclaimer: Always test a new product, oil, scent, etc. on a small patch of skin to test your skin’s sensitivity towards it. Certain products may not take well or be harmful on your skin so it’s best to sacrifice a small area before you apply it all over yourself. This is especially if you have sensitive skin. Contact a professional dermatologist for any skin concerns and treatments.

Choosing Scent Based on Zodiac Sign

You don’t have to choose a scent because it's associated with an astrological placement you have, although it may be a good starting place to determine what scents you actually like if you don’t know where to start. Most of these are inspired by notes of the perfumes I already own that remind me of each zodiac sign’s energy. They may not smell good used all together at once, but the idea is to give options so you can ultimately find your favorite note.

  • Aries- berries, dragonfruit, passionfruit, guava, mint, grapefruit

  • Taurus- sage, cannabis, powder, musk, sandalwood, white pear

  • Gemini- lemon, orange, bergamot, Ylang Ylang

  • Cancer- coconut, sea salt, vanilla, marshmallow

  • Leo- warm amber, honey, honeysuckle, caramel

  • Virgo- rose, lavender, peony, cucumber, green tea

  • Libra- vanilla, jasmine, peach, orange blossom

  • Scorpio- musk, black orchid, cardamom, cherries

  • Sagittarius- aqua, apple, sicilian lemon, white rose

  • Capricorn- cedar, champagne, pink pepper

  • Aquarius- black currant, pomegranate, peony, cotton

  • Pisces- lilac, jasmine, pineapple, lime
