Top Ten Fall Fragrances
Fall season has officially begun along with Libra season on September 23rd, 2022. The leaves are falling, the jackets have come out, and the layers are on. Winter season officially starts December 21st, 2022. As previously mentioned in Sugar’s Sensation Intention Guide, scent is a great way to appeal to your senses in the colder months. Plus who doesn’t like smelling good? The saying should be “When you look AND smell good you feel good.”
For as long as I could remember, scent has always been a part of my life. Kids used to always point out & tease me because my last name is very similar to the word “smell”. That's what I love about scent though, it’s such a great tool when it comes to connecting us to our memory and time. In my home growing up, we always had numerous scent plugs, scented body washes, room sprays, body spray, etc. readily available. As a little girl I’d see my mom’s perfumes on her tray in her bedroom, she purchased my first perfume in my pre-teen years, and my high school collection I had in rotation. Perfumes for me have always been a taste of womanhood along with the heels and handbags. It’s very interesting to think about how my scent choices and preferences have evolved over the years along with my style and taste. One thing about me, I’ve always been and still very much into gourmands otherwise known as fragrances that smell edible with notes similar to honey, vanilla, chocolate, or candy. I’ve always gravitated towards scents that remind me of dessert and make me smell edible, delicious, yummy, etc. The task now is as a grown woman is finding scents that are still sweet and compliment me as well. There’s a tweet I remember seeing around the time I started my grown & sexy collection and it goes along the lines of “Finding your signature scent is a top tier goal/experience in womanhood”. That is so so true.
The world of fragrances is very intricate and very detailed like astrology. There are a lot of careers available in perfumery and it's a field I’ve come to respect because of the level of detail and chemistry that goes into making fragrances millions of people will cherish forever. Creating my own fragrance is a dream I’m manifesting for myself and putting out into the Universe because of my love for collecting perfumes. There are so many different types of notes, perfumers, scents, designers, fragrance houses, concentrations, etc. I hope to get into all the specifics over time as I share another one of my personal interests outside of astrology and spirituality. It takes years to build your collection, learn what scents you like most, and what scents your body chemistry works with best. Just like divination as a whole, there is so much to learn and my favorite part is, you never stop learning new things. I hope this post inspires you & helps guide your next fragrance purchase. Pour Femme (marketed for women)
This slideshow thread is in no particular order. These are the fragrances I have in heavy rotation daily.
Another tip: usually fragrances that have higher concentration cost more, but don't be fooled! There are a lot of great smelling Eau de Parfums that are affordable and will last on your clothes for days, so high price doesn't always equal longevity.
