Sun In The Houses
POV you just recently got into astrology and after learning your big 3 you finally got a birth chart reading done. Assuming you’ve read all about the astrological houses themselves, you can now begin to interpret planets and other celestial bodies in houses. Let’s just focus on the Sun in each house to start.
The Sun represents our deep self, soul, self esteem, vitality, and personal radiance. You may be familiar with the traits of your sun sign already. Some you resonate with and others could be labeled stereotypes. The house our sun is in represents where we seek to feel recognized/special (think the sun & how much it wants to shine). I strongly believe our sun is our literal power. What comes to us with ease and what we can consider ourselves masters at. The zodiac sign’s energy associated with the house your sun is in can also manifest traits of that sign within you. For example, 6H suns might find themselves resonating with Virgo energy, although it doesn’t make them a Virgo sun unless they are. Think of what that house represents as what you’re known for. Your sun sign is your outward personality, the literal persona you take on in public. This also serves as the basis of your personality & who you are. The house our sun is in can show us where others lack boundaries when it comes to us.

If you’re already familiar or just wanna take a quick look to finish this article, create your chart on astro.com or astroseek.com for best possible accuracy. Do not use Co-Star or any chart similar because it’s best to use a wheel chart when doing this to see where your planets are actually placed. My personal preference is astro.com because of the amount of chart types you can create. I love to create all natal charts from the ‘extended chart selection’ and in the ‘astrodienst with asteroids’ chart drawing style. I recommend checking out the astrological houses if you’re still a bit confused on what you’re seeing. Look for this “☉” icon it represents the Sun. You will see what sign your sun is in and the degree it’s at in the legend with all the other planets and celestial bodies listed. Pay close attention to where this icon is placed on the wheel in terms of house placement because that is what we’re focusing on here.
Tip: If your sun happens to be placed in between two house cusps making it difficult to tell which one it falls into, then look at the degree.

They value their alone time and need lots of it. Now this sun placement tends to be very intense no matter which sign it is. You may also feel like your struggles are always on the forefront and you can’t seem to hide from your problems. The CEOs, the Boss Babes of the bunch. You tend to be career oriented in life. Your main focus tends to always remain your career. No matter what you will be working. You may not even see what you do as work because you enjoy it that much or have accepted the need to make money to sustain yourself. Your persona is to strive towards your career goals. Even if you were unsure of what you want to do, when you do make up your mind, you have laser focus on that. Your main focus will always remain your career.
